Compassionate, trauma-informed support that meets people where they are — with dignity, clarity, and practical solutions.
We provide compassionate, trauma-informed support that recognizes how grief, instability, systemic barriers, and chronic stress impact daily life and decision-making. Our team helps individuals and families identify immediate needs, create stabilization plans, connect to resources, and navigate complex systems with dignity and clarity. We serve as advocates, coordinators, and trusted guides throughout the process.
CTGJ assists clients with navigating public benefits and support systems, including Medicaid, SNAP, cash assistance, housing assistance programs, and other NYC, HRA, State, and federal resources. We help individuals complete applications, gather required documentation, respond to notices, maintain eligibility, and understand their rights within public systems.
Housing instability often sits at the center of emotional and economic hardship. We support individuals and families with housing applications, document preparation, tenancy stabilization, landlord communication, crisis planning, and referrals to housing-related resources. Our goal is to help people move from survival mode toward long-term stability and security.
We work collaboratively with Medicaid Managed Care Plans, Health Homes, HARPs, clinics, hospitals, behavioral health providers, and community organizations to help individuals remain connected to care and support services. CTGJ focuses on reducing barriers, improving communication across systems, and helping clients stay engaged with the services they need.
Healing does not happen in isolation. Through peer support, workshops, educational programming, and community conversations, we create safe spaces for people to process grief, trauma, and life transitions while learning practical tools for emotional wellness, self-advocacy, and systems navigation.
CTGJ believes economic mobility and emotional stability are deeply connected. Our workforce and life skills programming focuses on emotional resilience, executive functioning, confidence-building, workplace readiness, communication skills, and long-term personal development. We support individuals navigating barriers to employment while helping them build sustainable pathways forward.
CTGJ is committed to serving communities disproportionately impacted by grief, trauma, systemic inequities, housing instability, and barriers to care. Our work prioritizes:
At CTGJ, we recognize that many people are not simply navigating isolated crises — they are navigating the cumulative impact of systems that were never designed with their realities in mind. Our work centers dignity, stability, healing, and practical support that meets people where they are.
